Firebug Tests

(Sorry for cross-posting, but wanted this to reach the right people. Please follow-up to mozilla.dev.tree-management)

Greetings,

I wrote a little blog post this morning about getting some automation running for Firebug’s test system FBTest.

(blog post is here: http://antennasoft.net/robcee/2009/09/04/firebug-test-automation-phase-1-complete/)

We want to eventually put this on a Tinderbox that people can visit without having to wade through too much. The question is where should that be? The options are creating a new Firebug tree or put columns on the appropriate Firefox trees.

I think we’re leaning towards the former (separate Firebug tree) currently. It’s unlikely that we’d be able to close the Firefox trees for test failures on Firebug right now. But if that’s your preferred place, please let us know.

Also, I hinted in my blog post that I wanted to try some different notification systems from buildbot. These will likely include IRC and Twitter for starters. Welcoming suggestions for those as well.

Happy Friday! o/
