Firefox 3.6 and JavaScript

Posted in Firefox on February 5th, 2010 by Saba – 16 Comments

I have Firefox 3.6 on a Windows XP SP3 computer. The Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware installed is ZoneAlarm Security Suite v. 9.

I am unable to read an online newspaper using Firefox but I have no problem doing it with Internet Explorer 8. What should happen under normal circumstances is that when I login a new window should open up (via JavaScript, I guess) and then I would be able to read the newspaper. No such new window opens when I use Firefox and I am stuck at the login screen. If I then close Firefox, the program still runs in memory and have to resort to Ctrl+Alt+Del in order to terminate firefox.exe, otherwise I cannot restart Firefox.

I am not by any means an expert, so I am not quite sure that this problem is between Firefox and JavaScript, but it seems strange that I do not have the same problem with Internet Explorer 8. I have of course made sure that there is a check mark under Options –> Content –> Enable JavaScript. I have also tried turning off ZoneAlarm but the result is the same. I have another PC with the same configuration and it exhibits the same problem…

I am hoping that perhaps somebody else has run into this problem and found a solution to post.

Open the white license key pak, inside it is the CER 7.0.3 bootable media, then you can use 7.1.1 on CCO to upgrade.

I’m used to media not being in those white envelopes…

all they sent was the licensing PAK keys.

I would have thought the same thing.

yep….. but it all says licensing. non of it is media. I assume it should be like CM in that there is a Media line item. am I wrong? it doesn’t look like unity as you can NOT download a bootable image so if someone could give me more direction….. I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks

OK, I’m trying to PUT for ER. All that is listed is the licensing. Where is the media? is it downloadable somewhere? is something not right on the contract? and yes we have UCSS / etc.

I am downloading the 7.1.1 install from CCO right now. Looks like it might be a bootable image rather than just an upgrade.

1.3.2 to current 7.1.x. with that all said I have not read through the docs on all the upgrade stuff, but I would assume I need Media at some point in the moving from Windows to Linux.

DN Mappings

H323 of MGCP? If MGCP you could prepend on the gateway (Prefix DN) or xlate as suggested. If H323 use the power of xlate rules!

Why not setup a translation pattern to convert it?

SourceView example

Posted in Apple on February 5th, 2010 by Saba – Be the first to comment

Does anyone have a more basic equivalent of Apple’s SourceView example? It is a lot of code and is overkill.

I am trying to implement a source/outline view like the Finder/iTunes etc, but this example has me digging through piles of useless complexity.

Thanks,

Trygve
