Unity 5.0 in the AD 2008 R2

Per Cisco only Windows 2008 R2 is having issues… Windows 2008 and Windows 2008 R1 is OK.

We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 DC in our domain; however our forest and domain functional levels are at 2008, not 2008 R2. We’re running Unity 7.02 UM with Exchange 2007 and are not seeing any issues.

Ed, I am currently working with Cisco TAC regarding this issue. So far we added 1 Windows 2008 R2 DC in to our Domain and am not seeing any issues. Do you have Windows 2008 R2 in your domain?

Thanks, I had been using this one: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps556/product_bulletin_c25-468500_ps2237_Products_Bulletin.html

The one you linked looks newer.

When did R2 come out? I saw some commentary on the netpro forums that cisco doesn’t typically update it’s compatibility policy for about 60 days after release of an update like R2.. this didn’t look like it was from an official source so take with a grain of salt. Anybody using Windows 2008 R2 AD with Unity 5.x or 7.x?

•The Cisco Unity server typically is a member server in an Active Directory 2008, Active Directory 2003, or Active Directory 2000 domain. All domain and forest functional levels are supported, including the levels formerly known as mixed mode and native mode.

Active Directory 2008 R2 is not currently supported for use with Cisco Unity. You cannot have Active Directory 2008 R2 domain controllers in a forest that contains a Cisco Unity server. When R2 is supported, this document will be updated with that information.

IP overhead paging: likes and dislikes? SIP and survivability…

I deployed my multicast paging speakers and configured the router for CME as discussed in this mailing list.

telephony-service srst mode auto-provision all max-ephones 200 max-dn 300 ip source-address 10.255.3.1 port 2000 max-conferences 12 gain -6 transfer-system full-consult create cnf-files version-stamp 7960 Jan 22 2010 14:15:39 !

ephone-dn 1 number *70 description Paging name Paging feed ip 239.168.3.7 port 8000

And this worked for a week. Until I apparently had a SRST situation, and then my config was expanded to include ephone’s and ephone-dn’s. And that was OK too.

But this morning I received a panic “inbound calls aren’t working!”

When I looked at the debugs, I was getting: 003799: Feb 1 11:26:02.210: //-1/52818E74809D/CCAPI/cc_api_display_ie_subfields: cc_api_call_setup_ind_common: cisco-username=

503 – Service Unavailable error after posting a video comment

Posted in APIs on February 1st, 2010 by Saba – 2 Comments

Well I’m using Zend framework and when I try to post a comment it gives me this 503 response.

It was working fine even though the API doesn’t allow more than 3 posts from a single user every 10 minutes or so, it gives the msg “too_many_recent_calls” then.

But the really odd thing is that the post is actually posted on youtube even though it returns this error message. My quick fix was to just display as posted to the user when I get a 503 error. Not the correct solution but I’ll this until things go back to normal.

So is Youtube guys fixing their servers or something? Is this temporary?

All,

Does anyone know if SNMP can be configured to monitor a specific route in the route table? If that a route is gone a trap will be sent.

Thanks,

Hans
